Anker PowerCore 10000 review is an entry-level power bank, but it has plenty of features to keep important essentials charged and ready. With a built-in battery capacity of 10400mAh, this charger can charge your device up to 8 times in one go!

The “anker powercore fusion 10000 review” is an Anker PowerCore 10000 portable battery pack that has a capacity of 10,000 mAh. The device has a built-in USB port and can charge two devices at once. It also comes with a flashlight and built-in safety features.

Quick Summary of the Anker 10000 PowerCore Review

When it was first announced, the Anker 10000 PowerCore was a fantastic ultra-light portable charger. However, in 2021, Anker will release far superior PowerCore chargers with a 10000 mah capacity, which will provide considerably quicker charging for the newest smartphones as well as charging for the power bank. We propose the PowerCore 10000 USB-C PD (for the newest iPhones and Samsung S/Note phones) since it will charge your phone two to three times faster than the PowerCore 10000 and will also charge at more than double the rate.

Pros

  • It’s quite light. It’s still Anker’s lightest 10000 mah portable charger at 6.3 oz (190 grams).
  • Charges all iPhones twice as fast as Apple’s original iPhone charger (5 watt/1 amp) (10 watt/2 amp).
  • It takes roughly 50-60 minutes to charge an Android phone from zero to 50%. (2 to 2.4 amp charging)
  • Charges iPads at the same rate as wall chargers (10-12 watt)
  • Three times the capacity of the iPhone 8/7/6s, and twice the capacity of the iPhone 12, 11, 11 Pro, XR/XS/X, 7+, and Samsung S21, S20, S10/S9/S8/S7.
  • Build quality that is both durable and dependable
  • If you’re OK with the portable charger’s 6-7 hour charging time and don’t plan to replace your phone very soon, this is a good, lightweight option for iPhone 7, 7 Plus, and earlier.
  • Anker’s outstanding customer service

Cons

  • It takes a long time to charge. It takes at least 6-7 hours to charge.
  • Much better, with a lot more features, and it charges much quicker. Anker PowerCore portable chargers are now available for the same or less money.
  • There is no USB-C input connector for charging the power bank, which would be particularly useful for Android phones. Almost all recent Android phones now have USB-C wall chargers, and USB-C input enables you to charge the power bank straight from your phone’s charger without having to swap connections every time. As a great Anker USB-C PD power bank, we propose PowerCore 10000 USB-C PD.

Features of the Anker PowerCore 10000 Charging Station

Anker’s PowerCore 10000 is a standard 10000 mah portable charger. The single finest feature of this portable charger is its class-leading low weight of 6.3 oz (190 grams), making it the lightest premium 10000 mah power bank available today.

Anker-PowerCore-10000-ReviewThe Anker PowerCore 10000 is just 6.3 oz (185 grams)

The portable charger has Anker’s PowerIQ auto-device charging current sensing technology, which provides a maximum charging output of 2.4 amps. This means it can charge any iPhones, even the most recent XS/XR/8, at more than double the pace of original Apple iPhone wall chargers (1 amp or 5 watt), or from zero to 50% in 40-50 minutes. It can also charge all Samsung phones, including the S10, S9, S8/S7/S6, and practically all other Android phones, from 0% to 50% in 50 to 60 minutes (2.4 amp maximum charging). The Anker PowerCore 10000 charges iPads at the same rate as Apple’s original wall chargers.

Anker PowerCore 10000 has a real 10000 mah capacity, which means it can completely charge all small-screen iPhones three times (iPhone 8, 7, 6s, 6, SE). It more than doubles the battery life of all large-screen iPhones (iphone XS/XR/X/8+/7+/6s+) (2.5 times to be exact). Samsung S10, S9, S8, S7, S6, Note 8 can be completely charged twice with PowerCore 10000, and S10+, S9+ can be fully charged 1.5 times with PowerCore 10000.

A maximum input charging current of 2 amps is supported by the PowerCore 10000. This implies that a 2.1 to 2.4-amp charger (or any Samsung S/Note/J/A series charger or any iPad charger) would completely charge this portable charger from empty in around 6-7 hours. If you want to use this portable charger on a regular basis, we believe this is the single largest issue. It will take 14-15 hours to charge an iPhone power adapter (1 amp). In 2019, when considerably quicker, low-cost wall chargers are readily accessible, such lengthy charging durations are unacceptable. Most Samsung/LG/ and other Android phones, in fact, come with powerful power adaptors that can charge modern power banks like the PowerCore 10000 PD in only 3.5-4 hours.

1637144262_64_Anker-PowerCore-10000-ReviewA USB output port and a micro-USB input port are available on the PowerCore 10000.

If you have a recent Android phone, the USB-C connector is another feature that PowerCore 10000 lacks. The majority of new Android phones now come with USB-C power adapters. The PowerCore 10000 is charged by micro-USB, which means you’ll have to replace the cord from your phone’s charger with a micro-USB cable every time you want to charge it. Anker presently has two USB-C portable chargers on the market (PowerCore Lite 10000 and fast-charging PowerCore 10000 PD). Both of these devices may be charged directly with your Samsung/Android power adapter, eliminating the need to switch cables.

In addition, the PowerCore 10000 does not enable charging of ultra-low current gadgets such as wireless earphones, smartwatches, and other such devices that come with it. This function is supported by the majority of new Anker PowerCore power banks.

Even if you have an iPhone, a plain vanilla Anker charger like the PowerCore 10000 Lite (extra features: 7oz, slim and USB-C input, low-current device charging input) or PowerCore 10000 Redux (extra features: 7oz, slim and USB-C input, low-current device charging input) or PowerCore 10000 Redux (extra features: 7oz, slim and USB-C input, low-current device charging input) or PowerCore 10000 Red (extra features: 6.8 oz, low-current device charging support and more handy build).

Weight is the one area where PowerCore 10000 still triumphs. It’s still Anker’s lightest 10000 mah power bank at 6.3 oz (190 grams), and if you just need a plain vanilla trustworthy ultra-light portable charger and don’t mind the 6-7 hour charging period, it’s a terrific purchase.

Design and Construction of the Anker PowerCore 10000

The PowerCore 10000 is a well-made portable charger with a simple squarish form and a matte finish. Its dual-layer polycarbonate casing protects it from knocks, and the build quality and finish are excellent.

One USB connection for charging gadgets and one micro-USB port for charging the power bank are included on the charger. It contains four blue battery indication lights, which do the job but aren’t as good as the newer Powercores’ eight-point indicators.

PowerCore 10000 PD vs. Anker PowerCore 10000

1637144264_467_Anker-PowerCore-10000-ReviewThe PowerCore 10000 PD is an 18-watt USB-C PD fast-charging portable charger for the newest iPhones XS/XR/8, Samsung S10/S9/S8/Note 10/9, and Pixels.

If you have a new iPhone (iPhone 12, 11, XR/XS/XS Max/X/8/8 Plus, or any Google Pixel), or a new Android USB-C phone, Anker’s new PowerCore 10000 PD is a must-have premium portable charger. PowerCore 10000 PD provides 18-watt USB-C PD charging, allowing you to charge the newest iPhones, including the iPhone 12, 11, XR/XS/XS Max/X/8/8 Plus, all Google Pixels, and all new Samsung/LG phones from zero to 50 percent in under 0 minutes.

If you have an older iPhone and want to upgrade in the future, the PowerCore 10000 PD is a wonderful option since all next iPhones and iPads include 18-watt USB-C PD charging, which charges new iPhones three times faster than the basic Apple 5-watt iPhone charger. It charges older iPhones (7, 7 Plus, and older) twice as fast as Apple chargers.

The PowerCore 10000 PD has the shortest amount of time to completely charge of any Anker 10000 mah charger. With any 18-watt USB-C PD charger, the PowerCore 10000 PD can be fully charged in about 3.5 hours (or Macbook charger or Pixel charger). If you have a new iPhone (12, 11, XR, etc. ), the PD charger may also be used as a fast charger, charging your phone from 0% to 50% in 30 minutes.

PowerCore 10000 PD is the most future-ready of all Anker power banks, and it weighs in at 6.8 oz (200 grams), which is similar to PowerCore 10000.

PowerCore 10000 by Anker vs. PowerCore II 10000 by Anker

1632042670_619_Anker-PowerCore-II-10000-ReviewThe PowerCore II Small 10000 is a slim charger that quickly charges all Samsung devices.

When compared to the PowerCore 10000, Anker’s PowerCore II Slim 10000 and PowerCore II 10000 are significantly newer power banks. PowerCore II Slim 10000, or PowerCore II 10000, charges all Samsung phones and most Android phones in half the time that PowerCore 10000 takes (zero to 50% in 30 minutes) (zero to 50 percent in 50-60 minutes).

Please keep in mind that all three power banks (PowerCore II Slim 10000, PowerCore II 10000, and PowerCore 10000) will charge all iPhones at the same pace – from zero to 50% in 40-50 minutes.

Furthermore, both the PowerCore II Slim 10000 and the PowerCore II 10000 can charge from empty in 3.5 to 4 hours, vs 6-7 hours for the PowerCore 10000.

The two PowerCore II power banks may be charged in around 4 hours using your Samsung or most other Android phone chargers. If you have an iPhone, you can acquire a Quickcharge 3.0 charger for charging the PowerCore II Slim 10000 and PowerCore II 10000 in 3.5 hours for a low price. Another advantage of having a Quickcharge 3.0 charger is that it charges your iPhones twice as quickly as the original Apple charger.

PowerCore 10000 vs. PowerCore 10000 Lite by Anker

The PowerCore 10000 Lite is a step up from the PowerCore 10000, but it’s a step down from the PowerCore 10000 USB-C PD.

1633927397_389_Anker-PowerCore-10000-Redux-ReviewThe PowerCore Lite 10000 is the most comfortable of Anker’s 10000 mah portable chargers.

Please keep in mind that PowerCore 10000 Lite and PowerCore 10000 Redux provide the same charging performance/speed for Samsung, Android, and iPhones as PowerCore 10000. All three power banks are charged at the same time (6-7 hours).

The PowerCore 10000 Redux adds two features to the PowerCore 10000: a new long, narrow design and a low-current charging mode for wireless earbuds/smartphones, among other things.

The PowerCore 10000 Lite has three additional features over the PowerCore 10000: it has a new flat, sleek phone-like form, an extra USB-C connection for charging the power bank, and a low-current charging mode for wireless earbuds/smartphones, among other things.

As you can see, the charging/recharging times for these three power banks are identical. As a result, if you only want a basic powerbank without rapid charging, we suggest comparing the newest prices of these three power banks and purchasing accordingly.

However, we suggest spending a little extra and getting the PowerCore II Slim 10000 or PowerCore II 10000, which will charge in half the time of the PowerCore 10000/Redux or Lite. Particularly if you have a Samsung or any Android phone, since the PowerCore II Slim 10000 and PowerCore II 10000 charge Samsung phones in half the time.
